More Info

Major Lazer: One of the US's hottest DJs and one of the UKs hottest DJs have created one of the best Dancehall acts that is performing hit tour dates in 2011. Major Lazer consists of DJs Diplo and Switch and has been taking the world by storm with a top 10 album and concert dates that rival those of any DJ in the world. While there's no new album on the horizon, Major Lazer has upcoming tour dates in 2011 at some of the biggest music festivals in the US.

Diplo and Switch met while working with M.I.A. and decided to form an act based on a love of Dancehall. Their debut album, Guns Don't Kill People…Lazers Do, was released in 2009 to critical acclaim. Since that time, Major Lazer and their hype man Skerrit Bwoy have been promoting hit singles like "Pon de Floor" on international tour dates that have been praised by fans.

While Major Lazer might not have many tour dates in 2011, they are performing at some of the most high profile and widely attended music festivals in the US. Next up for Major Lazer is a tour date on the last day of the Outlands Festival in San Francisco on August 14, followed by an appearance at Live At Squamish Festival in Canada on August 20. Their final 2011 tour date is at The Voodoo Experience 2011 on the weekend of October 28. Although, there's no news on a new album, fans can gleam that, with so few tour dates in 2011, Major Lazer must be up to something big.

The Killers: Before indie rock became so prolific in recent years that most bands are now casually dismissed into the "indie landfill", there was The Killers. Upon the release of their acclaimed single "Mr. Brightside", The Killers thrust indie rock into the upper echelons of mainstream popularity, making their tour dates and albums widely sought after. Despite their origins in Las Vegas, The Killers' synth-infused style has become hugely popular with fans around the world, particularly in the UK. Despite the band's members stating that it might take them a while to release, and it being the cause of no tour dates in 2011, fans are excited about The Killers' upcoming album; their first in three years.

After playing at clubs locally in Las Vegas, The Killers experienced success in the UK thanks to the single "Mr. Brightside." That success spread to the US and other parts of the world with the release of Hot Fuss, which went platinum six times and featured the hit singles "Somebody Told Me" and "Smile Like You Mean It." The Killers followed-up with Sam's Town in 2006, which experienced nearly the same success as their debut effort. The album was succeeded by a number of headlining tour dates, including memorable performances at Madison Square Garden and Glastonbury Festival.

The Killers' third album, Day & Age, received even better reviews than Sam's Town and also went multi-platinum. With The Killers' continued success fans can't wait to see what the indie band has planned next; even though they'll have to. Be sure to check Eventful once the album is released for all the latest 2011 tour date information.

ODESZA: ODESZA is an American electronic music duo from Seattle consisting of Harrison Mills and Clayton Knight. The group was formed in 2012 shortly before Mills and Knight graduated from Western Washington University. Their debut album, "Summer's Gone", was released in 2012 to much acclaim in the underground electronic music community. Following "Summer's Gone", ODESZA released their first EP in 2013 entitled, "My Friends Never Die".
